1. Food - It's my "go to" Japanese curry restaurant. I like the flavor. It's hard to describe. It's a balance of savory, sweet, salty, spicy, hot, flavorful... the important thing is that it always hits the spot when it comes to the flavor of Japanese curry. The cooking is always consistent. The food always comes out made to order, fresh, hot, and on time. 2. Service - They have good service for what it is. Food comes out reasonably fast. The staff at McCully always accomodates our requests. They don't hover, no one wants that, especially when trying to eat. But they are there if we need them. 3. Location - It's in McCully Shopping Center. At peak times, it could be hard to find parking because there's a lot of other food places in the shopping center. 4. Price - Let's face it, cost of living in Hawaii has always been expensive, but nowadays, it's just ridiculous. When the a No.1 at McDonalds cost about $14, something is not right. Curry House, even with the price increase, is still priced just right. One thing that changed in the past few years are payment options. They now accept credit cards. I'm OK with cash, but in the past, I had to almost plan our visits to Curry House because I first have to go and get cash. Now that they accept cards, I can just go when the craving hits. This is one of the restaurants that I will have no hesitations to go to.

Not sure what is up with the negative reviews lately. It's true they don't answer the phone, but that's been true after 7:30pm for YEARS. Found a good parking space, ordered my usual Chicken Katsu Curry with cheese and spinach, and it was ready in no time. Delicious!

STILL LOVE IT HERE! Love this casual spot. Whether I'm picking up or dining in, the consistency is top tier and I've yet to be disappointed (knock on wood). Such a simple staple and everything is so good. I love that they have seasonal add on items and really enjoy ordering a piece of naan bread to soak up the extra curry. The naan bread seemed like a random addition but totally works. Definitely have my go to choices and it's so good. Even the standard service is quick and all the employees I've interacted with are courteous. Definitely recommend coming here or calling ahead during peak meal hours. Great place to come when we're hungry because we know they pump out the food fast for no hangry moments.

I recently had a chance to go here again and so the same taste still the same awesome consistency. I have the Katsu curry with the cheese on top face palm. I know right but it was super fantastic and I didn't even mind paying for my sistes Order.

Curry House CoCo is located in a small stripmall on Kapiolani/McCully. Found memories of finding parking in this busy lot. I think the first time we went here, it was so good that we visited them 3-4 times in our week stay in Oahu. There is something so comforting about Japanese curry and rice. We usually get the Katsu Curry, but they have a variety of things to try. Come check them out! Support local businesses.
